cuffs exam practice

Q1) why was the pre-watershed scheduling of 8pm significant in terms of the representations they could offer?

the episode has suicides, mens bottoms and homo-sexuality. kids might be watching this so it is appropriate to watch with your children because it is on at 8am and it should be on at 9pm when they are asleep.  it also show that TV is getting desensitised.

Q2) how were the following areas represented in the episode:

  • ethnicity
  • gender
  • sexuality
the episode is a very good at representing live in 2010s because of ethnicity, gender and sexuality. representing ethnicity as positive and negative because of there is a black cop as a hero. the stabbing at the shop with the indian young man who got killed with a screw driver.

this is represented in 2010 because of gay marriage on the series cuffs because there are two people who is gay and in love.
